CRESSWELL PLACE, CHELSEA
Cresswell Place in Chelsea was an internally ambitious development in South West London, with a modest exterior tastefully set in a typical Victorian Chelsea street.
The crisp white bricks, contrasting with the darker windows and doors creates an unassuming front to a building that delivers luxury over five floors. The excavation for the lower floors was breathtaking, and allowed for leisure spaces and staff quarters beneath the ground level drawing room and kitchens.
We made use of daylight spilling down through the central open courtyard that descended one level; it created a soft ambient light direction as it flowed around the property, to which we added a little bit more hard flash light to give some shadow definition on the floors and walls.
There were many details that needed capturing, including custom wallpapers, book-matched marble showers and exposed brick walls.
